Pierre Bourque and Wen Qi's mission to Africa
Some 250 people attended the economic summit between Cameroon and Canada. Mr. Pierre Bourque was the honorary president. The Summit was held between the 21st and the 25th of November at the Hilton Hotel in Yaoundé and received rave reviews from the Cameroonian press.
The Summit was organized under the auspices of the Cameroonian Minister of State, Mr. Augustin Frédéric Kodock.
Many other Cameroonian Ministers as well as Canada's ambassador to Cameroon, Mr. Jean-Pierre Lavoie, participated in the seminars.
The Summit helped considerably to re-kindle the friendship between Canada and Cameroon.
During their stay in Cameroon Pierre Bourque and Wen Qi met several renowned African personalities; Dr Koumba-Koumba Daniel, of the African Union, Gilbert Simi Evouna, delegate for the Government of Cameroon for the Urban Community of Yaounde, Dr Emile Andze Andze, President of the Communes and Cities of Cameroon, and Dr. Jean Tabi Manga, Rector of the University of Yaounde, not to mention dozens of personalities from the private and the non profit sector.
